John writes of his visit to St. Ives RFC.
I had been invited to join the Players Reunion at St Ives RFC when some 60 or so past players attended and watched the St Ives v. Redruth II match well won by St Ives. At the Reunion I was asked to present the CRFU Shield to former St. Ives and Cornwall player Roger Corin (pictured above) to replace his original Shield that he had so generously given to St Ives RFC for their Honours Board. Roger played on 67 occasions for Cornwall, first representing the County when he was 18 years old. Roger was also selected for England U23 and three international trials as well as representing South West Counties twice against New Zealand and twice against Australia.
